    Experience where it counts

After working with my father at a young age on our home along with six duplex's which my father owned, I decided to acquire my contractor's license at the age of 22. After successfully acquiring my General Building Contractors License in 1974, I began my professional career in the building industry.

I worked in the federal contracting industry for 10 years and successfully completed major contracts for the United States Navy, Air Force, Army, National Guard and US Marines.

After working in federal contracting, I went into home remodeling and land development. One of my first land projects started in 1978 with the construction of 12 single-family homes in San Diego. In the early 80's after the interest rates were returning to reasonable ranges, however the severe recession in the building industry forced me to explore other ventures. I used this time to invent several consumer products for the shower and started to market them through the mail order industry. After 4 years I established business with over 20 different mail order catalogs and sold close to one million units. After selling the business in the late 80's, I went into the franchise industry with my own company. I established eight franchisees in San Diego and then sold Executive Valet, a personal services company, in the early 90's. I then went to work for Mail Boxes Etc.'s Corporate Headquarters in its new business development department.

On the following pages you will see the wide variety of business endeavors in which I have been involved, construction projects both large and small, from home remodeling to multi-family homes to custom houses projects.  See a list of example projects or read about some of our happy clients.
